In this protected forest area, also a place full of energy and sacredness. Thai artist Rachapol uses local material bamboo to create larger fishing nets, capturing human desires entering into them, while also symbolizing the caves where local monks meditate in seclusion.

Taiwanese artist Keno captures natural landscapes views near the monks' residence, installed in front of the fishing net, blurring the line between the reality you see and the intersection of another dimensional dream, attempting to open and close our senses.

The Origin Story: Intersection of the Organic and the Spiritual

The inception of this artwork stems from a vibrant organic living village located between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai in Thailand. This area is home to the renowned Pun Pun Organic Farm and Seed Bank, serving as a vital hub for knowledge exchange and the spirit of sustainability. Each year, it draws environmentalists, farmers, and practitioners from around the globe to share insights on organic agriculture, sustainable living, and land stewardship.

In February, the village hosts a significant annual festival, centered on the exchange of rare seeds and the knowledge of local Earth Building (red-soil construction) techniques. Artist Keno Tung was invited by the owners of the local eco-village to participate deeply in the community. She not only assisted in organizing the event but also invited international artists from France, Italy, and Poland for an artist residency.

Under the curatorial concept of "Sustainability and Environment," the artists created immersive experience artworks that echoed the spirit of the land. Keno Tung utilized her distinctive video art approach to "transplant" the atmosphere and environment of the local monks' meditation retreats directly into the festival's exhibition space. This initiative aimed to allow more participants to use the perceptual power of multimedia art to intimately connect traditional spiritual practice with contemporary artistic activity, encouraging the audience to reflect on the land, sustainability, and their inner selves through the immersive experience.
